Build Your Leadership & Development Skills with Atlanta’s Urban Plan Academy

June 1, 2026

The Urban Plan Academy for Community Leaders offers a unique opportunity to better understand that process through an engaging, hands-on learning experience.

Offered in partnership with the Urban Land Institute of Atlanta, this one-day academy uses a project-based approach to immerse participants in a fictional city-led redevelopment scenario. Attendees will work through real-world challenges while sharpening their negotiation and collaboration skills with various stakeholders, including elected officials, neighborhood representatives, development teams, and community leaders.

This interactive program is designed for individuals who want to strengthen their understanding of land use, redevelopment, and community planning while building practical leadership skills that can be applied in their professional and civic involvement.
