From the President's Desk.....
Real Estate is a relationship business. Successful Realtors® know how to leverage existing relationships as well as how to forge new
relationships to the benefit of building their business. All relationships are important; not just a relationship with a client. To better serve a client, it is important that we all have strong relationships with industry players such as loan officers, home inspectors, closing attorneys and even other Realtors®
.
The Paulding Board of Realtors provides an opportunity for its members to build those important industry relationships. When I came to Paulding County in 2007 I knew no one. And it was not until the formation of the PBOR that I was able to change that situation. By attending PBOR meetings and getting involved with the business of the PBOR; I have developed key relationships that have been the cornerstone of building a successful business in a challenging market.
The fact is, having relationships with other Realtors® helps. Having
relationships with industry providers, such as our Affiliate Members,
helps. Exposing one's self to the information gained in CE courses and the general membership meetings helps. Creating a positive mental attitude through participation in the PBOR helps. Giving back to the community and industry by committing to attending PBOR meetings and participating as an officer, director, committee chairperson or committee member helps.
I urge you to invest your time in the PBOR - Attend the general
membership meetings, serve on a committee and get involved. At the
end of the day, you are investing in yourself to the benefit of you and
your family.
Make it a great year!
